  • Will LeaveWorks ever contact my employer?
No, your privacy is of utmost priority. LeaveWorks works directly with you, the individual taking a leave of absence, and not your employer.
  • Do you offer support after the consultation?
Yes! Our support packages offer unlimited email support throughout the duration of your leave.
  • Do you provide consultations for people outside of CA? What about other types of leave?
At this time, we only offer our services for individuals taking a parental leave of absence (birthing or non-birthing) in the state of California. We plan to expand to more states and support different types of leaves in the future.
  • Why choose LeaveWorks?
With hundreds of leaves of absence consultations in the books, you can count on LeaveWorks to be your parental leave guide. We specialize in California's complex parental leave laws in addition to federal and state job protection policies. During your tailored phone consultation, we'll educate you on your rights while on leave, how to maximize time with your newborn and family, and empower you to speak with your employer.
  • What if I'm already on leave?
No problem! We are more than happy to help new parents at any stage of the leave. Though there are deadlines associated with claim filings, it is never too late to make the most out of your leave.
  • Why wouldn't I just work with my employer on my leave of absence?
While we encourage you to openly communicate with your employer about your leave of absence, unfortunately many employers are not compliant with leave laws and share inaccurate or outdated information. LeaveWorks can identify these missteps for you and help you navigate resolving them with your employer. At the end of the day, your employer has their best interests in mind and at LeaveWorks we have your best interests in mind!
